Jimboomba Turf Raises Record Amount for Charity

Brisbane, March 16 2002 - Jimboomba Turf raised over $5,800 for the Leukemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave for a Cure, with customers as far away as the United States pitching in.

This was a record fundraising effort for the company, which is relatively small with fifty employees.

Eleven staff, from Directors to Sales People shed their locks for the cause.

Managing Director Lynn Davidson said, "With over 6,000 Australians being diagnosed with leukemia each year, it was a small price to pay for much-needed money that will support leukemia research and provide patients with support".

Jimboomba Turf takes part in several community and charity activities every year.
