Sir Walter is perhaps the best new breed of shade grass available on the Australian market. Not only will this incredible grass grow in the shade, it also performs well in full sun. It has a lush, mild green colour and a soft, broad leaf.
Sir Walter requires as little as 2 to 3 hours of sunlight per day and combined with its renowned hardiness can grow in some areas where, in the past, only hard landscaping could be utilised. Sir Walter can also be mowed at a variety of heights to suit your circumstances. Mowing heights should generally be higher for shade growth than for growing under full sun conditions. Due to its slower vertical growth rates, Sir Walter requires less frequent mowing than similar grass types.
