Contract Growing
Jimboomba Turf Group has the capacity to produce almost any grass type. For projects where specialised grass or large quantities are required, Jimboomba Turf Group will cultivate and maintain the specified grass variety for your project. Soil Amendment
To establish a healthy turf surface, many soil types need to be amended. Jimboomba Turf Group has a range of specialised equipment for the spreading and incorporation of all types of soil amendments. Composed organics, fertilisers, and trace elements can be supplied, spread, and incorporated accurately and efficiently.
Cultivation
A vital part of turf establishment is correct soil preparation. Jimboomba Turf Group has produced millions of square metres of turf and operates a complete range of uniquely specialised machinery, from deep ripping, to surface or bed preparation.
Deep ripping is carried out using Yeoman's Keyline System, where a specially designed ripper shatters the sub grade without bringing clay to surface. This is the ideal operation following bulk earthworks and compaction by large equipment.
Surface cultivation and incorporation of amendments are carried out using the Blecavator. This unique machine has a counter rotational blade system combined with an adjustable rear screen, which has the capacity to bury stones and provide a fine surface tilth for final grassing.
Jimboomba Turf Group has many other cultivation techniques available, which may be adapted to suit any situation or soil type.
Surface Preparation
Jimboomba Turf Group has a range of specialised low compaction equipment for spreading of topsoil and laser levelling. This equipment enables us to construct and finish playing surfaces to very fine design tolerances. Using the unique Laser Blade Pro 3D GPS System, we can in most circumstances spread soil and laser finish more quickly and economically than by using conventional earthmoving machinery.
Turf Installation
Our experienced installation teams are able to install large quantities of turf economically and to a very high quality finish. Using either conventional turf or larger Jimbo Rolls. Jimboomba Turf Group has a large range of machinery to deliver and install turf onto almost any surface.
Stolonisation
Where time and suitable conditions are available, a grassed surface can be established by planting stolons.
Stolons are small pieces of vegetative material produced from mature turf. Most grass types can be planted from stolons. However, the area must be irrigated and several months will be required to produce a mature, playable surface.
Stolons can be planted using either our purpose built mechanical planters, or sprayed through our Hydromulcher.
