Turf Maintenance
Mowing
It is important that your new turf is mowed as soon as it is anchored to the soil. This usually takes 10 to 14 days, depending on the time of the year.
Do not mow your turf before it has taken root , but also, do not let your turf get too long before you mow.
The general rule is never remove more than 1/3 of the leaf in any one mowing.
The first mowing should be set at around 37mm, with the height being gradually reduced over the next 2 to 3 mowings. For couch grasses in Summer a permanent height of around 19mm is advisable. In Winter the regular height should be raised to around 25mm.
