COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) Update

Dear Customers,

We understand that with recent events surrounding the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) outbreak there is a lot of concern in the community. I would like to personally provide you with some reassurance around the steps we have taken to ensure the safety of our people and the community throughout this challenging time.

UPDATE 24 March 2020

Further to current government advice we are no longer accepting cash or cheques at our sales office. Customers can still pay with credit or debit cards in the office. Phone and online sales are the preferred method at this time.

We have put the following new procedures in place:

  • We have provided education to staff and drivers on:

    • Personal hygiene in line with the department of health recommendations

    • Current travel restrictions and advice

    • What to do if in contact with any high-risk person

    • What to do if a member of family/ household is diagnosed with COVID-19

  • We have put social distancing restrictions in place in all work sites

  • Hand sanitiser is provided to staff and drivers for cleaning workstations, vehicles, equipment and data units before and after usage

  • All farm machinery operating stations will be sanitized after usage

  • We have communicated with all sub-contractors and have held meetings with suppliers to highlight the above and reinforce their personal obligations in relation to this matter

  • For the safety of both clients and our drivers, we have instructed our drivers to no longer capture signatures for Proof of Delivery (POD) – Names, GPS plots and time stamps will still be captured as standard

We look forward to continuing to service our customers both through this challenging time and beyond.

Hands Free Delivery

Turf harvesting has come a long way in our 45 years. It has gone from a very manual, rough and tumble process to the amazing automated process we use today.

The key to all of this is our Firefly harvesters. They allow for pallet loading straight from tractor to harvester. The turf is then harvested and automatically stacked on the pallet. The pallets are dropped on the fly and the forklift can then move and load the trucks.

Then with our on-truck forklifts we can then unload leaving the turf exactly where our customers need it. All without a single human hand touching the pallet or the turf.
